VO DINH
VO-DINH, Mai was born in 1933 in Hue, Vietnam. He studied at the Quoc-Hoc of Hue and, later, at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and the University of Paris.
His paintings and woodblock prints have been exhibited in forty-two solo shows and in numerous group shows in Asia, Aurope, Canada, and throughout the United States. An author, translator, ans illustrator, he has over forty books to his credit. He is listed in Who's Who in American Art and Printworld.
In 1975 Vo-Dinh received the Christopher Award, and in 1984 he was granted a Literature Program Fellowship by the National Endowment for the Arts.
